Lending a Helping Hand

Posted on December 1, 2012

Friday, December 7th marked the “Grand Opening” for the Ft. Lee Holiday Helper program. This organization collects toys for children of active duty parents who are struggling to make ends meet this time of year. Omni, always looking to contribute to the needs of the military, was happy to provide the refreshments for this “Grand Opening” and along with the Prince-George Chamber of Commerce provided over 200 toys. It is expected that over 800 kids will have a Merry Christmas thanks to the efforts of the Ft. Lee Holiday Helper. On Tuesday, December 11th and Wednesday the 12th active duty parents will shop for their toys and their gifts will be wrapped by onsite volunteers. Omni’s GM Jeff Heckert and Board President Susan Bridgeman enjoy a photo opp in front of the food table. Much better to give than receive!
