MILITARY LOAN FAQS
Who is eligible for a military loan from Omni Financial?
Omni Financial serves active duty service members from all six branches of the U.S. Armed Forces — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force — as well as career-retired military and DOD personnel. You must be at least 18 years old and meet our standard underwriting criteria. Loan amounts and terms may vary based on your state of residence.
How much can I borrow, and what are the loan terms?
Omni Financial offers personal loans from $500 to $10,000. Loan amounts, interest rates, and repayment terms are based on your individual profile and state of residence. Our team will walk you through all available options before you commit to anything — no surprises, no fine print.
How quickly will I receive my funds?
Over half of approved loans are funded the same day via Omni Debit Card. Once your application is approved, you choose your funding method and can have access to your money within hours. Because financial emergencies don’t wait, neither do we.
Can I apply if I have bad or limited credit?
Yes. Omni Financial evaluates each application based on your full financial picture, not just your credit score. Many service members — especially those earlier in their careers — have limited credit history, and we understand that. We’ve helped service members across all credit profiles get the financial support they need.
How do I set up a military allotment for loan repayment?
Once your loan is approved, your Omni branch team will walk you through allotment setup. You’ll need your Omni account routing and account numbers, which you can find by logging into your Omni Command account. From there, you can set up an allotment through myPay (for most active duty members) or by submitting a DD Form 2558 through your finance office — directing a fixed amount from your military pay to your Omni account each pay period. Allotment payments are automatic and pull directly from your LES, so there’s no risk of a missed payment. If you have questions during setup, call us at 1-877-OMNI-USA or stop by your nearest branch.
Is Omni Financial compliant with the Military Lending Act (MLA)?
Yes, fully. Omni Financial is MLA compliant, which means active duty service members and their dependents are protected by a 36% Military Annual Percentage Rate (MAPR) cap, no prepayment penalties, and required loan disclosures on every loan. We’ve been protecting service members financially for over 50 years — long before it was the law.
Can I apply online, or do I need to visit a branch?
Both options are available. You can apply online from anywhere — whether you’re stateside, deployed, or stationed at a remote installation. If you prefer to speak with someone in person, we have branches located near many military installations across the country. Find your nearest location using our branch locator.
How is an Omni loan different from using a credit card?
Unlike credit cards, Omni loans come with fixed payments, a fixed payoff date, and fixed interest rates — so you always know exactly what you owe and when you’ll be done. Credit cards carry unpredictable minimum payments, no set payoff date, variable interest rates, and the risk of maxed-out credit limits. An Omni loan is a structured, transparent way to get what you need without the debt spiral.
