2018 Military Discounts for Theme Parks

Thrilling rides, amazing shows, and incredible attractions are just a few of the many reasons why millions of people of all ages flock to theme parks during the warm weather months.  But all that excitement can come at a pretty steep price. Some parks cost over $100 per ticket!  

As a military member, however, you are entitled to big savings at many of the most popular theme parks around the country. These parks honor America’s heroes with a variety of money-saving discounts. So before checking out that new roller coaster or water slide, check out the special theme park military discounts below.  Visit the websites for details, exclusions, and restrictions. All discounts require presentation of a valid military ID.   

Disneyland Resort – Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA offers a Military Promotional 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket for $168 and a 4-Day ticket for $188 from January 1 through March 22 and April 9 through December 19, 2018. Add Disney PhotoPass Collection for an additional discounted price of $49 plus tax through December 19, 2018.   

Dollywood– Located in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, Dollywood offers active or retired military, disabled veterans, military reservists, spouses and dependents a 30% discount on one-day theme park admission tickets now through January 5, 2019.  Tickets must be purchased at the front gate. 

Great Wolf Lodge– Take advantage of the Howlin’ Heroes military discount and save up to 30% at Great Wolf Lodge resorts. Offer is available to active or retired military, as well as fire, EMS, and law enforcement personnel.  

Knott’s Berry Farm  Military discounts are available every day at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. Just show your Military ID at the ticket booths and receive admission tickets for $50. You can also purchase discounted tickets online for $47 (plus taxes & fees) or at your local on-base Military Ticket Office. Discount does not apply to Special Ticketed Events. 

LEGOLAND® California– Active duty service members can save 10% on a one-day admission ticket. Tickets can be purchased at any LEGOLAND California ticket booth. For the greatest LEGOLAND military discounts, active and retired military personnel should pre-purchase tickets at any on-base Military Ticket Office. 

LEGOLAND® Florida– U.S. service members can receive one free admission to LEGOLAND Florida Resort & Water Park. Just bring your valid Military ID to the ticket window. There are no restrictions or blackout dates. This discount offer is not available online.  

Non-active duty personnel, family members and veterans can receive a deep admission discount and a second day free offer by purchasing tickets at your local Military ITT office on base.  

The LEGOLAND hotel also offers a 10% military discount. 

SeaWorld Parks – As part of its Waves of Honor program, SeaWorld Parks offers any active duty military, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman, one free admission per year to one of the following parks: 

Complimentary admission is good for military personnel and up to three direct dependents.   Select parks also have special veterans programs available:

Six Flags Great Adventure, Magic Mountain and Great America – Most military bases offer discounted admission tickets at their MWR/ITR offices. You can also show your Military ID at the Guest Services Center to receive a 20% military discount off the one day General Admission ticket. 

Universal Studios Hollywood – Universal Studios Hollywood offers greatly discounted tickets to active and retired service members all year long. These specially priced tickets must be purchased in advance and are only available at participating Military Ticket Offices or by phone. They are not available at the box office.  If you do not pre-purchase a ticket, military personnel and their dependents can still receive $3 off General Admission tickets by showing a valid Military or U.S. Government ID at the ticket booth. 

Walt Disney World Resort – Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is offering Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets (includes the Park Hopper Option) for a special price.  Add the Park Hopper Plus option for an additional $40 plus tax.
