Are your PCS orders or vacation plans bringing you to the Fort Stewart area?  Located just outside of Hinesville, GA, Fort Stewart is the largest Army installation east of the Mississippi River.
Did you know that Hinesville is one of the fastest growing cities in Southeast Georgia? The weather is pleasant, there are plenty of fun things to do nearby, plus we’re a quick drive away from the coast and the historic city of Savannah.
Whether Hinesville in Liberty County is your home or your vacation destination, here are some ideas for making your time here special and memorable.

Chill out at Bryant Commons
Bryan Commons is a scenic 150-acre park located in the heart of downtown Hinesville. As a passive park, it features large open spaces and green areas that encourage visitors to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There’s a 1-mile walking track, a peaceful pond, a playground, a dog park and an amphitheater.
Shop at the Hinesville Farmers Market
Purchase fresh produce, products, arts and crafts and more from local growers and artisans at the Hinesville Farmers Market. The market takes place every Thursday from 4-7pm, March through November.
Explore history at the ITPA Telephone Museum
Think your mom’s iPhone 6 is old?  Visit the Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association (ITPA) Museum and take a fascinating look at telephones from yesteryear and how they evolved to today’s smartphone.
Play a round at Taylors Creek Golf Course
Taylors Creek Golf Course is an 18 hole, par 72 course and also features a driving range and a clubhouse with a pro shop. In addition, visitors can play FootGolf, a sport that combines elements of soccer and Golf. Taylors Creek Golf Course is part of the Southeastern Georgia Adaptative Golf Program which gives people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the game. Military discounts are available.
Take a day (or weekend!) trip to Savannah
There’s so much to do in Savannah it will be hard do everything in just one day. We suggest that a one or two day itinerary for exploring Georgia’s oldest city include:

  • A tour of the gorgeous historic homes and mansions
  • A visit to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, an iconic symbol of Savannah and a beautiful example of Gothic architecture
  • A walk around City Market, an open-air marketplace in Savannah’s Historic District featuring restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and more
  • A stroll through the 30-acre Forsyth Park home to the famous Forsyth fountain modeled after the fountains found in Place de la Concorde in Cuzco, Peru

We hope you enjoy your time in the Fort Stewart area. We welcome you to visit our office in Hinesville. We’re conveniently located at 230 W. General Screven Way and serve Fort Stewart and Hunter AAF. Stop by and say hello! We look forward to meeting you.
