ASYMCA Mud Run 2017
The 17th annual Armed services YMCA of Hampton Rods Mud Run is a challenging and rewarding experience while also strengthening the lives of service members and their families. This challenging 8K course winds through sand dunes, and a variety of coastal terrains with obstacles like a low crawl, a 5 foot wall, a series of beach barricades, and mud pits.
Kids love the mud too a smaller 1 mile course is also available for kids 5-12 years old. This course is full of sand, mud and a lot of fun! All mini-mudders receive a medal as they cross the finish line. They also receive a t-shirt, and food and drinks at the beach party.
After the courageous hurdles of the Mud Run the event closes with an after party. Runners of all ages are invited to stay and enjoy pizza and drinks on the beach. Afterwards jump into Chesapeake Bay to rinse the mud right off!
