The All Army Sports Hockey Team recently competed in the 5th Baltic Military Winter Games Ice Hockey Tournament in Vilnius, Lithuania, sweeping the competition and clinching a gold medal.
This extraordinary winning team is just one of the many teams affiliated with the All Army Sports Program, a “Military Welfare and Recreation and Army Installation Management Command program that supports Soldier readiness and well-being through athletic performance, military bearing and competitive spirit.”
If you are a soldier and an outstanding athlete, you may be a perfect fit for the All Army Sports Program. Through this program, superior male and female soldier-athletes can take steps to fulfill their athletic potential and compete at the highest levels. Participants represent the Army in Armed Forces Sports Championships and national and international competitions, such as the Baltic Military Winter Games Ice Hockey Tournament.
Eligibility
Active duty, National Guard, and Army Reserve personnel are eligible to apply for this program that is governed by AR 215-1.
Selection criteria
All Army Sports Program applicants must have graduated basic training and advanced individual training (AIT). Active duty officers must have graduated their basic course. You also need to know the date you most recently took the Level 1 Anti-Terrorism Training. Read additional application information here.

The All Army Sports Program also recruits coaches and trainers. Priority of selection will be active duty, National Guard and Reserve.
All Army Trial Camp
Based on your application, you may be selected to attend the Trial Camp. The All Army Sports Program websites stresses that “soldiers must be in peak physical condition to compete immediately.”
Costs
Travel, meals, Trial Camp, and Competition, local transportation and uniforms are funded by IMCOM G9 All Army Sports.
All Army Sports is a short-term program that, depending on the sport, lasts between four days and up to three months. It is not a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) or a change in Military Occupation Specialty (MOS).
